My visit to WT official site

englishman has a thread about the generation idea and the apostates - most interesting.

after reading this, it occured to me it would be interesting to go to the official watchtower internet site and use there search function on different words and see what they had to say.

here is what i found out.. first of all, they do not show complete articles.

YOYO, A billion dollar/year company with 6 million followers and there undermanned? I am a web developer(on my own time for my own reasons) and it does not take that much time to get it right. How long have they had their site? I self taught myself last year and took one 6 week class to brush up. Two people should easily of had all their information up in as little as a month.

Here is a thought....
Maybe they intentionally leave out the "good stuff" because they know the general public can view it and pick it apart. OR maybe their info is only useful to the "chosen ones".

i desperately feel that the grand title of apostate applies no more to ex jws than it does to the whole of active jws.. therefore, i am asking for some sort of alternative title for the wonderful people who post on here.

the word apostate strikes fear in the average dub.

But how about;
free thinker,
intelligent,
versed,
researcher,
done done done,
woken up,
smart,
broken free... just to name a few.

Is SEX all men care about??

this thread is dedicated to all of the horny stud's out there who think with their penis: "big breasts, nice ass, i wanna mound her, blah, blah, blah...." i suppose then this would include ever man in the entire world, as horny as they are, just thinking about one thing and one thing only, sex...not that sex is a bad thing, sex is very nice, except maybe if you're a single jw, then your hand is your personal best friend.

but even so, they still think of sex, they just won't admit to it, or have lost the key to their chastity belt.

when a man see's a nice looking woman, what's the first thing they think about: "wow, wonder what she looks like naked", not "i bet she has a wonderful personality.

Thats a bunch of crap that all we think about is having sex with a woman! Sometimes we think about more important things like, having sex with two women or three or four...

How many hours are falsely reported?

in the january 1 issue of each year, they harp on about how many hours the jws did last year etc etc.. how many hours are possibly falsely reported?.

i have been reading some things about free masonry and how some say russell was a mason.

i have been skeptical up to this point but i am now finding more information that says this may be true.. question: .

why in the world would an organization that teaches against idols and flags etc., use a pyramid at the grave of its founder????

False religion= A religion MADE UP (BY MAN)to pull people away from the truth, as the bible speaks about.

True Christianity= A belief that Jesus was more than just a man. JW's beliefs are much different than the rest.

Iarc, I would hope to think you would know this since you have over 4000 posts.

How about the two questions I asked?

Russell was fascinated with pyramids and this is how he came up with the year 1914.

Question:
If Russell founded the organization on bogus material, then aren't all JW's following the wrong leader, so to speak?

I am also uncovering some similarities between Russell and his roots, and the Mormon roots(Brigham Young & Joseph Smith). I will have to learn more about this before I make any statements.

How conveniant would it be, that Free Masons had indeed come up with two, or at least one, false religions to pull people away from true christianity? It makes a lot of sense.

ive been visiting this site for about 8 months, just taking in all your comments and the issues that are of importance to those who have been jehovahs witnesses and the problems that you have identified with the religion.

i was brought up in the truth in the 60s and 70s but my parents left before i reached the age when i would consider being baptised.

subsequently my parents divorced but have remarried separately and are both back in the religion.

I did not understand all of it, but I say again, interesting.
The Bible is a very complex piece of work. It has been translated many different ways. Is this just another translation?
Who's to say that there werent just some awesome Greek and Hebrew authors 2000 years ago?
I do believe in God and do believe in the word, but so many questions...

I want to add to my last reply. It is not my intent or my style to resort to name calling. I am not, never have been and never will be a JW. I do have personal reasons for being here, read my profile.
Most of what I post is to find answers to common questions and to make comments on other peoples statements. I do not wish to throw the JW's themselves into the dirt, for they are mostly descent people, just as myself.
It does irritate me that so many people can include themselves in such an organization, and assume what they are being taught is the truth, only to find out that when they have enough common sense to investigate, they find out it is not.
At least maybe, just maybe, I am influencing one or two JW's to think about a few things I have written. Peace.

I am outmatched. First I am no bible scholar. This is why I do research. James has certainly out done me. First he says that this was his research then later explained to me that there was a TEAM of JW experts that come up with this explanation. I can copy/paste the e-mail if you wish.

There is a problem with this. He new exactly were I got my information from, which tells me that they have pre answered any question anybody may have. They reasearch the questions people have on the JW religion. No matter what hard facts or evidence one may have, you lose.

He also stated to me that the average JW does not need to know "why" the NWT is printed as it is. As he explains. "it would take too much time away from study and witnessing." So don't think for yourselves, just take in all the crap they teach you and believe it.
6,000,000 JW's = 6,000,000 morons, not just James.
Thats my story and I'm stickin' to it.
